Zala Hair Extensions Review
Hello my lovelies!!
Today I wanted to talk to you all about the hair extensions I have been testing out for a few months now!
So if you read my recent post I recently dove head first (literally) into the world of tape hair extensions. With the help of my very talented hair dresser and friend Sarah and Josie's Salon and Boutique in knoxville Tn I have had roughly three different sets of hair extensions since I was married in March.
Now I know what you are thinking; Dang! Thats alot Miranda! Have no fear this was all my choice.
So it all started with my first set of hair extensions for my wedding in March ( read my blog Hot Heads Hair Extensions Review for that). Shortly after i really wanted to go back to my natural blonde roots and I just did not feel like caving to color those extensions and damaging them to get them to that color. So I went on a hunt to find a more affordable option that i could order myself online and have my hairdresser install.
Naturally the first thing I did was go straight to youtube to get some ideas and in depth reviews. I kept finding this branch called Zala Hair Extensions. They had so many reviews that praised them so I decided to give them a try.
Now this is an Australian company so once everything was converted the USD they were fairly inexpensive compared to what i paid to have my previous set ordered and installed. They had many different colors to choose from on their website and i chose the closest color to my hair and ordered them. They did provide tracking information and i received them within two weeks of initially ordering them.
I was so excited the day they cam I went straight to my hair salon and had them installed! They were beautiful 100% human hair and matched my hair perfectly. I did order the 20" tape hair extensions and my stylist cut about and inch off for me and framed some layers around my face. She was very impressed with the quality of the extensions and how thick they were. Since the initial installation I had them cut into a long bob and colored them purple and they took perfectly to being colored and it did not compromise the quality of the hair at all.
After growing tired of the purple hair I decided all blonde was the way to go so I ordered another pack of extensions and was pleased that I received the exact same quality of extensions as before and quickly had those installed as well.
The tape on the extensions is very sturdy and durable but flexible on your scalp so the feel very comfortable. I love how this the extensions are and how smooth and healthy they look. They never get frizzy and hold a curl extremely well, sometimes for days if i need it to. I also love that theses look great even without heat styling. My favorite way to style my hair is to sleep in a braid at night and rock the wavy look the next day and the extensions look amazing.
I have to say I am extremely pleased with the quality of both sets of extensions that i recieved and would recommend them to anyone wanting to get tape hair extensions while on a budget.
When I say I love them I mean i freaking love them! I honestly don;t think I'll be purchasing any other brand of extensions in the near future because I just love these so much! Seriously check them out if you are looking for new extensions you won't be disappointed! While I have never had an issue with Zala oi have heard their customer service is great too so its worth trying!

Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 in Damier Azur Review
I wanted to give a full and honest review on my Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 in Damier Azur!
I know luxury items such as hand bags and accessories are the sort of topic that people either absolutely love or hate. So with that in mind know that luxury items are something that I choose to spend my hard earned money on.
I wanted to give my opinion on the item and brand to give those of you an idea of whether this item is one you should splurge on or maybe pass up if you're in the market for a new hand bag.
I did alot of research before purchasing this bag as this would be my very first item from Louis Vuitton. I went in knowing i wanted something other than the monogram print that was so common. I just could not decide if i wanted the Damier Azur (white/grey canvas) or the Damier Ebene ( light/dark brown canvas). Each had their own pros and cons with the canvas colors.
The Ebene print does not come with the Vachetta handles ( type of leather on most high quality bags that initially is very light but will patina or darken over time). Many people prefer the Ebene canvas for this reason because there is less to worry about. Vachetta does have a certain set of limitations that comes with it. First you don't want to take the bag out in the rain is it has any sort of vachetta on it. Rain can leave permanent water stains on vachetta leather that result in an uneven patina and staining on the leather. Natural oils from your hands can also stain the underside of the handles as well as any lotions or perfumes. This issue scares some people away from purchasing new items that have that type of leather for the fact that they are scared to ruin it. That being said Damier Ebene is becoming a favorite among people because it does come with treated leather that is already a beautiful brown color. The Damier Ebene also comes with a beautiful red interior opposed to post Louis Vuitton handbags that comes with the standard beige interior.
The Azur is a beautiful white/ gray canvas with a light beige interior. It does feature the vachetta handles and will eventually patina over time.
When i was deciding on which bag i wanted i thought about the patina and i knew i wanted a brand new bag with the vachetta handles because i wanted to be able to watch my bag patina over time. I love the look of vintage bags with the gorgeous honey patina and i knew i wanted to have one for my self.
What i absolutely love about vintage Louis Vuittons with the aged patina is that you can tell that bag has a story. I love that the quality of these purses is so great that you will literally have the purse for a life time and be able to pass it down generations and generations. I love that when i see a vintage purse i know it was bought so long ago and cherished by the person that purchased it and that it may have been passed down for many other people to love and enjoy. Its the history that i love.
That being said i knew i wanted to created my own history with my own purse so while the Damier Ebene was stunning i knew i wanted the vachetta leather.
Now for the actual review.
I love my purse. I chose the size 30 because the 25 was so small that it looked like a child's purse but the 35 was just too big for daily use. The size 30 is absolutely perfect for me in the long run. It fits every thing that i carry with me on a daily basis and does not get too heavy. Th purse is made of light weight canvas and alone is very light so you won't have issues carrying this bag around if you don't carry much any way. I love how bright the canvas is! its perfect for the spring and summer months but its not too bright that it can't be used in fall and winter. I personally use mine all year round and have no issues.
I did not opt for the Bandouliere model as crossbody that large tend to hurt my shoulders so i knew i needed a top handle version.
The speedy does only feature on pocket on the inside and feature a top zipper and a lock and key to keep your valuables safe. The only down fall with this type of bag is the lack of pockets and the lack of structure to the bottom of the bag. This bag will sag once you put items inside but if you do not mind that it wont damage the bag in any way. Personally i don't mind that it sags but i do use a bag organizer that adds more pockets and also eliminates the bag sag.
Over all i absolutely love my Speedy 30 and would repurchase this bag in a heart beat. Its so beautiful and really makes a statement. I love the quality of the bag itself! I have had no issues with it and hove not needed to have anything replaced at all.
That is my full review thank you for reading!
Love always,
Miranda

Dior Nude Air Serum Foundation Review
So I have been testing out the Dior Nude Air Serum Foundation for a few months now and I am ready to give a full review on this baby!
So lets start with the claims!
Dior claims this foundation is:
- weightless
- natural finish and natural-looking glow
- sun protection
- even-looking complexion
- enhances complexion
- radiant sheer finish
Fist let me say that I LOVE this foundation.
I completely disagree with the claim of a "sheer coverage" this foundation is the BOMB and the coverage is too!!
It is completely weightless and very buildable! I am the kind of person where my concealer is reserved for my under eyes and highlighting only. I just don't see the point in spending money on a foundation that can't cover blemishes and imperfections without concealer. That being said I understand sometimes we ladies have that huge blemish that can only be concealed with copious amounts of concealer, foundation, and powder but generally speaking I don't use concealer for things like that.
To preface the rest of the review I have dry to normal skin with no "dry or flaky patches."
That being said I was a little skeptical about this foundation being that it claimed to have sheer coverage and its a serum foundation. I just had to pick this up because I am a sucker for dior and it had great reviews online so I gave it a try.
So my first impression of the foundation is Wow! This is freaking cool!
So this is a very liquidy foundation as you would expect from a serum foundation BUT it dries to a powder finish while still giving a very natural finish to the skin. It features a dropper which I love because I feel its more sanitary and less messy. I generally use about two drops of this foundation to cover my entire face and maybe half another drop to go over any pesky blemishes. That being said this will last you a long time.
The foundation is extremely buildable and no matter how many layers you put on this will look like skin. It never looks cakey or greasy on my skin either. I do not set this foundation seeing as I have dry skin an di never have any issues with transfer or it disappearing by the end of the day.
Seeing as I don't set this foundation powders such as blush, bronzer, and highlighters blend beautifully over it also. I use concealer under my eyes and around my face to highlight and it blends beautifully on top of the foundation also.
I love this foundation so much that I chose this for my wedding day! It lasted all day through the hugs, kisses, laughs, and eating. I knew I wanted a foundation with high coverage to where I didn't have to cake my face with multiple layers of products to cover my moderate acne and I also wanted to have a natural finish.
(this was me after all the festivities of my wedding day :) of course I had a tshirt to commemorate the day)
This foundation was absolutely perfect for my big day! I got so many compliments on my skin and my makeup that day and I felt radiant.
My favorite way to apply this is actually with a small poder brush. I love the real Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
- Weightless
- medium buildable coverage
- natural finish
- SPF 20 (Wooh for sun protection)
- lit from within glow :)

HOT HEADS TAPE HAIR EXTENSIONS REVIEW
Hey guys! So recently I have decided to take the plunge and had hair extensions put in for my wedding!
So the brand I decided to go with are called Hot Heads Tape Hair Extensions. I did have these put in professionally as I did have very short hair to begin with and knew I wanted the hair to blend more naturally.
So I will be giving my initial thoughts on these extensions and will do an update in a few months.
Price:
Now each stylist may be different but my stylist split up the cost into two payments which made it much easier for me to be able to do this. Price will vary by your area and stylist so always check with your stylist for pricing.
Installation:
So the installation literally took only about 30 minutes! I was shocked it only took a few minutes in total I was in her chair for maybe an hour after she installed, cut, and styled my hair. They blend very well with my short hair and the color selection was great! I get compliments all the time on my hair.
We used two packs on my thick hair and they worked great. We chose two different colors to match my current ombre situation. The two different colors blended perfectly!
Now these extensions are 100% real human hair and can be colored, curled, straightened, and washed just like your own hair.
The way these are installed is is they are sandwiched between strands of your own hair with tape that is specifically made to hold the hair extensions.
Now I will tell you that I believe you should have a professional apply these. I do not suggest trying to DIY this at all. If you place these incorrectly you may end up damaging either extensions or your own hair.
When these are applied they are undetectable. You can run your hand down the back of your head and not be able to feel it. These do not feel very heavy on your scalp and feel very natural. Now of course if you had super short hair like me then your hair will of course feel heavier. The tape is the same color as the hair so they are hair to see even when not covered by hair. You can still scrub your scalp in the shower and brush your hair like normal.
Maintenance:
If taken care of they can last you up to a year. Now seeing as these are taped to your real hair they do have to be moved up every few months. This process is very quick and shouldn’t take any longer than your initial application. These do cause very very minimal damage to your hair and are by far the safest option for hair extensions that you can get. These are very sturdy and I have found that they stay put very well. I honestly don’t see how these would slip out at all.
Now this is also why I say you should have a professional install AND maintain your extensions. If too much or not enough hair is placed between the wefts they may slip out.
Now you do need to brush your hair atleast twice a day to keep them from tangling. Aslo don’t forget that these are not directly connected to your scalp so these do not get the nutrients that your scalp gives your own hair. That being said you do not need to wash your hair every day. If you wash your hair everyday you strip your extensions of any oils that are in them which will leave them dry and damaged. I would suggest using a conditioning treatment on your hair once a week and using sometime of dry oil on your extensions also.
Also I would suggest wearing your hair in a braid when you sleep. If you sleep with your hair loose it may cause damage to the extensions or cause them to knot.
My over all Thoughts:
Over all I love these extensions! They blend so well with my short hair and look the most natural of tall the extensions ive ever tried. They are easy to style and hold a curl very well. The color selection is fantastic. The quality of the hair excellent and the installation time is very minimal.
These are perfect to offer length to short hair, highlights of color without damaging your hair, or just to add some fullness to your hair.

Empowering Women One Bully at a Time
So i know growing up I wasn't the only one who got teased. Boys would tease girls all the time but i feel like the times when it hurt the most was when other girls would tease me.
Don't lie i know i am not the only one who has either been the butt end of a joke or the one who started it.
Highschool was awful for me. I was constantly made fun of by a group of girls. They would yell obeseness things at my in the hallways or comment on my pictures on social media. They used to comment on my pictures on Facebook about how i was fat, I needed to stop eating, and about how ugly i was. Sometimes they would call my phone telling me I didn't deserve to live.
This isn't easy for me to talk about so bear with me.
Sometimes it would get so bad i would leave my phone off for days just so i wouldn't have to hear what they were saying about me. I missed so much school in high school. I would call my mom saying I'm sick atlas once a week when in reality i was to ashamed to go to a certain class. I was too scared to go to a class that these girls were in because i couldn't handle what they would say to me.
I hated myself back then. I have always been self conscience about my weight but those girls took it to a level that i couldn't handle.
This blog is not for me to whine about my younger years being bullied but rather for any bully out there to understand the impact they have on other people.
I considered suicide a few times. Could you imagine if i had gone through with that?
I hope these girls are reading this and know exactly who they are because they need to know the impact they made.
If you are a bully you need to read this. If i had taken my life because of these girls i wouldn't be able to experience everything I have in the years since high school.
I would have never met my fiancé.
I wouldn't be getting married next month.
I wouldn't have the great job i have.
I would never have gotten to do all the amazing things I've accomplished.
But i do want to thank them for one thing. Because of the way they treated me and the way they made me feel I now know that I am strong. I will never let anyone hurt me so much that I don't want to live anymore. I am strong. I control my future and no one will get in my way again.
Those girls may have been important in high school but now that we are adults now i see how life truly is. I have a great job and a finance that loves me and a loving family behind me.
Women should empower each other not bring each other down! We had so many generations on men degrading and devaluing women and now women are doing this to themselves. We should spend our time encouraging and empowering each other! There is absolutely no excuse for the way women treat each other. It is not a competition ladies!!! You may be jealous because another woman is taller, or thinner, or has longer hair, or maybe you think she is prettier but she probably thinks the same about you or another woman. Instead of being jealous we should celebrate what we love about ourselves!
So i challenge everyone who reads this to comment below with atleas one thing you love about yourself! It doesn't have to be a body feature! If you love your laugh let me know! I want to know anything you love about yourself! Share it with the world!
